Curd, also known as yogurt is the fermented milk which is rich in
carbohydrates, calcium and proteins. Curd is a daily product used at
home. It is not just an integral part of the diet but also for skin
care.
Applying curd on face helps to get soft and smooth skin. It also acts
a good moisturizer and good for dry skin. Whether you suffer from acne,

Benefits of Applying Curd on Face
Curd as Skin Cleanser
Mix 1cup of curd & 1 tbsp of lemon juice & use as skin
cleanser. Take half cup yoghurt. Add to this half teaspoon honey. Stir
well. Apply all over the forehead, face and neck. Rub it in gently.
Leave on for 2-3 minutes. Wash off with cold water.
Curd as a Tan Remover
The bacteria present in the curd mainly lactobacillus and
streptococcus acts as an agent to clear burnt skin. Tanned skin can be
cured by applying curd mixed with flour. It also helps in keeping the
skin soft.
Curd for Curing Acne
Make a paste of gram flour and curd & use as face pack. Also Mix
thick curd, turmeric and two drops of mustard oil and then apply the
paste on the face. This will gives you a clear and glowing acne free
skin.
Don’t Use Curd if:-
If you are allergic to yogurt, dairy products or alpha and beta
hydroxy acids, avoid using yogurt face masks. If you experience burning
or pain of any kind, wash off the mask and consult with your physician
before reapplying. These symptoms may indicate an allergy or sensitivity
to yogurt’s active ingredients or live cultures. If your skin feels
tight after washing off your yogurt mask, apply a noncomedogenic
moisturizer to hydrate and protect skin cells.
